With two non-profit Life Plan Communities in Asheville, NC – Givens Estates and Givens Highland Farms – we cater to the needs of independent living residents who want to age with choices. As a member of the Givens Home First team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to build meaningful one-on-one relationships with clients, helping them live a healthy, happy and safe life at home. We are on the lookout for compassionate caregivers that are eager to contribute to the growth of our program.

Our Home Care Program is designed to cater to unique needs, ensuring independence and well-being. From in-home aide and companionship services to respite and nursing care, our team of dedicated caregivers prioritize the specific requirements of each client.
Day in the Life:
Morning: Start the day by providing companionship care, assisting clients with getting ready for the day – bathing, dressing and preparing a delicious meal, such as scrambled eggs just the way they like it. You may even remind them to take their medications.
Afternoon: Assist clients with some household management activities, such as caring for pets, making lunch, organizing closets, and light housekeeping. You may even accompany clients on walks and appointments as outlined in their Plan of Care.
Evening: You may help your clients wrap up the day by preparing a delicious meal, helping them bathe and get cozy for the night.
2024 Compensation for In-Home Aide Companions:
- $17.00/hr for 0-2 years of prior experience
- $17.50/hr for 2-4 years of prior experience
- $18.00/hr for 5+ years of prior experience
Additional pay differentials for evenings, weekends, and recognized holidays make joining Givens financially rewarding:
- + $2.00/hr on weekday nights
- + $4.00/hr on weekend days
- + $5.00/hr on weekend nights
We also offer a sign-on bonus, paid out in increments over the first six months, and a competitive referral bonus program.
