Our latest Learn First Seminar brought together residents, team members, and community vendors for a meaningful morning focused on healing, resilience, and reconnection.
We were honored to welcome Resources for Resilience, a North Carolina nonprofit dedicated to teaching simple, science-backed tools for navigating stress and building emotional strength. Their interactive session, Reconnecting Through Hard Times, helped us better understand what happens to our mind and body during difficult moments, and what we can do to reset so we can care for ourselves and each other.
Some of the practical takeaways included:
-
Rapid Resets like tapping, grounding, and breath work
-
The importance of reaching out and really listening to one another
-
Simple ways to reset and reconnect in stressful times
We also enjoyed connecting with local organizations who joined us, including:
Thank you to everyone who attended and made this event such a success! In moments of challenge and change, it’s these connections and conversations that help strengthen our community.
We look forward to seeing you at the next Learn First gathering!
