Last Fall, Hurricane Helene left her mark on our mountain communities—bringing unexpected challenges, stress, and disruption to our daily lives. In true Givens spirit, we weathered the storm with compassion and care for one another. But as we all know, sometimes the emotional impact lingers long after the skies clear.
That’s why we’re especially grateful to invite you to our next Learn First Seminar, where we’ll gather as a community to explore healing, resilience, and reconnection.
This quarter, we’re partnering with Resources for Resilience, a North Carolina nonprofit. Their team is made up of educators, counselors, and community leaders who specialize in teaching simple, science-backed strategies to help people manage stress, build emotional strength, and support one another through tough times.
Their one-hour interactive session, “Reconnecting Through Hard Times” offers practical tools we can all use to stay grounded, reduce overwhelm, and nurture healthy relationships—whether we’re caregivers, neighbors, or just people trying our best. We hope you’ll join us!
