Welcome to Dementia Friends, Nurse Aide Program Students!

We are thrilled to welcome five new Dementia Friends to our Givens community! Our Life Plan Community Nurse, Kimberly Bailey, who is also a trained Dementia Friends Champion with the N.C. Division of Aging Society, recently conducted an information session for our Nurse Aide students.

Did You Know?

Givens Communities offers an “Earn While You Learn” State Approved Nurse Aide program. This 10-week training program is designed to support staffing for Givens Communities and create a direct pathway from training to a career for team members. Here’s what makes it special:

  • Dual-Role Position: Trainees complete the N.C. Nurse Aide I curriculum with all tuition, books, supplies, and exam fees covered while earning a full-time paycheck.
  • Real-World Experience: When not in class, trainees work as Resident Assistants in one of Givens Communities’ clinical settings.
  • Career Pathway: After successful program completion and listing on the N.C Nurse Aide I Registry, CNAs commit to at least one year in one of our health care settings.

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis for upcoming classes. For more information, contact Kayla, Lead Talent Acquisition Specialist at [email protected] or 828-271-6948.

Join us in welcoming our new Dementia Friends and supporting our Nurse Aide students as they embark on this rewarding journey!
