Kimberly Bailey will be speaking on Caregiver Self Care, highlighting the importance of caring out of a place of wellness for both the giver and receiver.  Kimberly’s Honor’s Project for her nursing degree was a threefold focus on self-care for caregivers, hospice, and Alzheimer’s Disease. Kimberly is an RN (Registered Nurse) and CHPN (Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse) with hospice experience in an in-patient unit as well as in the home setting. She has led the Home Care team at Givens Estates as the Coordinator and is now our Life Plan Community Nurse, supporting Independent Living residents at both Givens Highland Farms and Givens Estates.

Vernon and Joyce Robinson founded Dementia Partners AVL, Inc., whose mission is to provide excellent community support services for individuals and families in need, striving to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all participants.  Dementia Partners AVL offers a wide range of services including in-person and virtual support groups, symposiums and group workshops.  Their personal experiences in caring for family members, together with their hearts of compassion and empathy, continue to create authentic, “organic” communities of care throughout the greater Asheville area.
